1st Day 1st Impression
Exterior - People judge you by how well you take care of your space, and if your room, school, halls, and restrooms aren't neat and tidy, you're losing confidence in those you lead and serve.
Signage - What signs do you need to direct traffic, tell kids where to go, or tell people what to do? Signage build confidence and comfort in everyone, so you don't have to.
Website - Does your website or social media cause problems or solve them. When your technology helps people, it impresses them and increases confidence in your competence.
Phone - How you answer the phone impresses others. Tone, kindness and your quick response to answer the phone and solve problems impresses.
Email - Responsiveness and results are key. If you are late to reply or ineffective in your response, their impression of you suffers.
Dress - Impressions are greatly affected by how you present yourself in dress, hair, face, etc. If you want people to think highly of you, think highly of your dress.
Tone - How you speak impacts the impression people have when they hear you. Make your tone impress by deescalating their stress.
Face - Your face tells people everything. Make sure you use it to make a good first impression.
Welcome - How you welcome people tells people whether or not they're valued or not.
Gratitude - When you thank people, you impress people even more.
Help - How you help people and how you go the extra mile for people increases their perception of you in exponential ways.
When it comes to the first day of school, there are no second opportunities to make a great impression. The impression is coming no matter what. Now what will you do to make it the best impression they've ever had?
