RIGHT NOW to be ready for next week?
If you want to be an excellent leader, you have to be an excellent communicator. Excellent leaders are proactive thinkers, and thinking ahead is a habit that all great leaders possess. Last minute is a thinking behind, not thinking ahead and it's a reflection of poor organization and planning.
LET'S THINK AHEAD
What do teachers need to know right now to be ready for next week?
When are lesson plans due and what do they need to include?
Are there any modifications from the first week of school plan that they need time to plan for or process before Monday?
Are there great ideas you found this week that could help someone next week?
Did you solve a problem for someone that needs to be communicated across the school?

Everyone likes surprises but not in their work, and definitely not in their email.
4 TIPS to PROACTIVE LEADERSHIP
DO your emails proactively LEAD your staff?
L - Listen to Problems - Are you hearing the same thing over and over that could be fixed with proactive communication?
E - Empower - Your communication becomes 2-way you empower followers to lead with you. Do you ask for feedback, input, questions, and yes even complaints?
A - Anticipate - What are things that they need to know to be ready? What problems are coming up next week that you can head off right now?
D - Discipline - Keep it pithy. Short and simple is the best email to read. Get in, get out, and watch your people read your emails and be proactively prepared for success.
