It's winter time and many of us are dressing in layers when we go outside to brave the cold. As I walked this morning in my multiple layers of clothing in 20 degree weather, I was warm. In fact, I was sweating by the end of my walk. Regardless of the temperature outside, I was prepared to get the most out of my workout despite the circumstances of a cold environment. So that made me this of a question for you.
Are You Prepared for the Coldness of People?
Just like the weather can get cold, people can be cold as well. Are you dressed in layers to protect yourself from the coldness in people that you come in contact with in your work. No matter how cold it gets, the job remains the same. We have to continue to do the work no matter how cold people are toward us.
If we are dressed in layers to battle the cold shoulders and frigid attitudes people give us, we’re able to do our work comfortably and regardless of the coldness people show to us.
Learn the 3 Layers of Leadership
At the end of the day people at their very worst still expect us to treat them the well, even though their behaviors don’t treat us well.
Our ultimate goal is always the same.
Maintain the spirit of unity with people despite the emotions that present or the harshness they give us.
Don’t give into the cold weather of people.
Layer up your spirit and your mind, so you don’t get cold with them.
Stay Warm!
