Its’ Memorial Day, the time where we remember those who fought and died for the very freedom we often take advantage of today. On Memorial Day, many of us kick off the summer season with friends and family and spend time celebrating and enjoying each others’ company. Over this weekend, I have a question for you.
Will You Make the Most of Your Minutes this Weekend?
4 Ways to Make Your Memorial Day Minutes Count
If we want Memorial Day to be memorable in and of itself, we need to make the most of the precious minutes we have with our family. On this Memorial Day weekend, I want to share some tips to turn your Memorial Day minutes into Memorial Day Win-its.
Turn off the distractions - This weekend, turn off the phone. I have a secret for you. There is not a minute in email that is more important than minutes with your family.
Make Minutes Momentous - Find time to turn ordinary minutes into memorable moments with fun, games, and meaningful conversations.
Make the Conversations Meaningful - People will not remember anything you said, but they will remember how you made them feel.
Leave Work Out of Your Weekend - It is tempting to talk about the work, but be intentional in focusing on this free, special and short time with your friends and family. The work conversations will be there on Tuesday when you come back.
Minute to Win It
Will your minutes win it for your friends and family? Will you disconnect from the distractions or will you disconnect from friends and family? Remember time is fleeting. Memorial Day was designed to remember those who came before us. Make this weekend a memory that people will never forget you for. Make it special. Make it intentional, and make your minutes win-its!
Happy Memorial Day!
